The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.
Platforms
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.
Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Execution Speed
This is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the part that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
